I can't comment on the life of the bulb since it has been only couple of days. It has blue and red light as shown in the pictures. This is a nice technology.
I am using it to grow some indoor plants since I don't have any back yard. It is a must have for those who live in apartments and condos who don't have access to outside area for growing plants and fruits.
One thing I wish it came up with is some more information about how to arrange the bulb and the plants - like how far the bulb should be etc. I was able to figure out from the internet. Other than that this product does what it says. I received this product at a discount or for free in exchange of honest and unbiased review.
